Dehumidifier

Dehumidifier

Compressor dehumidifiers utilize the compressor to circulate refrigerant between the cooling coil and the condenser, creating a temperature difference. Humid air passes through the evaporator, where moisture condenses, resulting in dry, warm air discharged through the condenser. Advantages include low energy consumption, a large dehumidification range, and high daily capacity, but performance can be easily affected by the space's temperature and humidity.

The effectiveness of a dehumidifier varies with the room size. If the space is too large for a lower-powered model, it will take longer to reach the desired humidity and consume more electricity. When choosing a dehumidifier, consider your home's size and surrounding environment (highland/coastal) to determine the right features and tank size, avoiding unnecessary energy waste.

Relative humidity Household / Tank Size
Below 300 sq ft  300 - 500 sq ft 500 sq ft or above
50% - 70% 14 liters or less 19 - 21 liters 28 liters or above
71% - 80%  14 - 18 liters 24 liters 33 liters or above
Above 80% 14 - 18 liters 24 - 28 liters 42 liters or above
