• Zero waste to landfill: Six facilities in APAC achieved Zero Waste to Landfill Platinum or Gold Validation, which recognizes our efforts in handling waste in environmentally responsible and innovative ways — from energy production via incineration to reuse, recycling and composting.
• Responsible production: We have been awarded Bronze Medal in the latest EcoVadis sustainability assessment, which exhaustively evaluated across our environmental, social and governance aspects. 
• All-new paper packaging: Our new range of GP Recharge & Recyko rechargeable batteries and chargers features paper packaging to increase the use of recyclable materials in packaging. 
• Safety first: We are committed to providing products that live up to the highest international safety standards. We adhere to strict safety requirements and our quality assurance centres and laboratories have been well-recognized by international bodies.

Kabushikigaisha Limited operates a diverse portfolio of well-known F&B brands. In addition to introducing the Number One Yakiniku brand in Japan, Gyu-Kaku, and the shabu brand, On-Yasai, the group has continued to introduce popular Japanese franchised brands, including Gyu-Kaku Buffet, Gyu-Kaku Jinnan-Bou, THE MATCHA TOKYO, and Hikiniku To Come. The group also operates self-owned brands, including Mou Mou Club, #HAP Taiwanese Hotpot, Peace Cuisine, and Wing Wah All Day. 

The group actively pursues green initiatives for sustainability, such as: 

Energy Saving: #HAP Taiwanese Hotpot is the industry pioneer in introducing the “IoT-based Electromagnetic Hot Pot Stove System,” which can be switched on or off through a specialized mobile app to reduce energy consumption.  
LED Lighting Adoption: LED technology and motion sensor lighting can save up to 80% of energy compared to traditional lighting, helping to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from purchased electricity.  
Logistics Fleet: Introduced EURO VI vehicles to continue the group's efforts towards low emissions.  

The company signed the “Charter on External Lighting” issued by the Environmental Bureau of Hong Kong, committing to switch off lighting installations for decorative, promotional or advertising purposes after 11 p.m. to avoid causing light pollution to the surrounding environment. In additional to the above-mentioned efforts, the Group has proactively adopted measures to minimise the environmental impacts of its business operation. For example:

• Air-conditioning systems are cleaned and air filters are replaced regularly in order to improve operational efficiency; and room temperature is maintained at energy-efficient level;

• Use of energy-saving lamps and LED lamps for office and store lighting (when feasible);

• Comply with the “Product Eco-responsibility Ordinance” for the levy on plastic shopping bags;

• Billboards and outdoor lighting devices at street level stores are controlled by timers;

• Collection of waste paper for recycling; and

• Each department is required to record the amount of paper used for printing in order to monitor the use of paper.
